About Norvera
What is Norvera?
Norvera is a fixed-price boiler installation company covering Birmingham and the Midlands. We supply and fit new boilers through Gas Safe registered engineers, priced from photos with no survey visit, no upselling and no call centre. The written price you're quoted is the price you pay.
Is Norvera Gas Safe registered?
Every engineer Norvera works with is Gas Safe registered and verified before they take a job, and every installation is notified under the fitting engineer's registration.
Who owns Norvera?
Norvera is a trading name of CSS International Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number 16110027).
Prices and quotes
What does a fixed price actually mean?
It means the price we send you is the price you pay. We work it out from your answers and the photos of your boiler, so nobody needs to visit to price it, and you get it in writing before you pay anything. No call-out surprises, no extras, nothing added on the day. The only thing that can change it is if the job turns out to be materially different from what you told us, and we would explain that and agree it with you before any work started.
How much does a new boiler cost?
Most new boiler installations fall between about £1,800 and £3,500 fully fitted, depending on the boiler, your home and any extra work like pipework or a new flue. A like-for-like combi swap sits at the lower end. You always get a fixed written price first.
Is the quote free and is there any obligation?
Yes, getting a quote is free and there is no obligation. Answer a few quick questions, get your fixed price, and decide in your own time. No pushy sales.
Does the price include removing my old boiler?
Yes. Our fixed prices cover the new boiler, professional installation, removal and safe disposal of your old boiler, and warranty registration.
Why might one quote be higher than another?
The main factors are the boiler brand and size, whether the boiler is moving position, the condition of your existing pipework, and extras like a system filter or a new flue. A proper assessment is the only way to get an accurate figure.
The process
What happens after I submit my request?
You get your fixed price and a reference number straight away. If you are happy with it you book and pay online, and only then do we arrange your vetted local Gas Safe engineer and order your boiler. You can follow every step in your own portal.
How long does it take to get a quote?
About two minutes. You see your fixed price on screen at the end of the questions, and we send it to you in writing as well so you have it saved.
Will someone need to visit before I get a price?
No. We price the job from your answers and your photos, which is why you get the number on screen rather than waiting in for an appointment. The first time an engineer comes to your home is to fit the boiler.
Can I track my job?
Yes. You get a customer portal where you can see your quote, your assigned engineer and your install date, and upload photos. If you lose the link, use Find my portal with your reference.
Installation and timing
How quickly can you install a new boiler?
Often next-day installation, subject to your location and the job. Our 24-hour call line is always open and urgent situations are prioritised.
How long does the installation take?
A straightforward combi swap usually takes a day. Converting to a different boiler type, or moving the boiler, takes a little longer because of the extra pipework.
Will my heating be off for long?
Only for the working day in most cases. Your engineer will let you know the plan on the day so you know what to expect.
Do you tidy up afterwards?
Yes. Your installer removes the old boiler, clears away packaging, and leaves your home as they found it.
Engineers and Gas Safe
Are your installers Gas Safe registered?
Yes. Every engineer in our network is Gas Safe registered and verified before they work with us. You can check any engineer on the Gas Safe Register. You receive their Gas Safe ID when they are confirmed for your job.
Who actually does the work?
A local, independent Gas Safe registered installer from our vetted network. Norvera matches you with the right one for your job and handles the quote and admin.
Can I speak to someone before booking?
Of course. Call our line on +44 7700 141228 or use the contact page and a real person will help.
Warranty and aftercare
What warranty comes with a new boiler?
It depends on the boiler, and the exact length is shown on every boiler in our range so you can compare before you choose. Most are 10 years and some go up to 12, and our entry-level models carry less. It is a manufacturer warranty covering the boiler, covering parts and labour through the manufacturer. The longer guarantees need an installer accredited by that manufacturer, and every guarantee needs registering within 30 days and an annual service to stay valid. We will send you everything you need to register yours.
Do I need an annual service to keep the warranty?
Almost always, yes. Most manufacturers require an annual service to keep the warranty valid. It also keeps the boiler safe and running efficiently.
What if something goes wrong after installation?
Contact us and we will help put it right. Your manufacturer warranty covers boiler faults, and your installer stands behind their workmanship.
Boilers and brands
Which boiler brands do you install?
All the main manufacturers, including Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Baxi, Ideal, Viessmann, Glow-worm, Potterton, Alpha and Ariston. Your installer recommends the best option for your home and budget.
How do I know what size boiler I need?
It depends on your number of bedrooms and bathrooms and your hot water demand, not just the floor area. Your installer sizes it correctly so you are not paying for more than you need. Our help centre has a full guide.
Combi, system or regular, which is right for me?
A combi suits most homes with one or two bathrooms and saves space with no tank. Larger homes with several bathrooms may suit a system boiler. Our guides explain the difference, or your installer can advise.
Do you fit heat pumps?
Our focus is gas boiler installation. If a heat pump is a better fit for your home we will be honest about that.
Areas and coverage
What areas do you cover?
We cover Birmingham and towns across the Midlands, including the West Midlands, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire and Herefordshire. Enter your postcode and we will confirm availability.
Do you cover villages and areas outside the main towns?
Yes, we cover the surrounding areas around each town too. If you are just outside, enter your postcode and we will check the nearest available engineer.
Emergencies, finance and payment
My boiler has broken down, what should I do?
If you smell gas, call the National Gas Emergency line on 0800 111 999 first. Otherwise, tell us what is happening and we will get a Gas Safe engineer to you as quickly as possible. If the boiler is beyond repair we can arrange a fast fixed-price replacement.
Is finance available?
No, we do not currently offer finance. Your new boiler is paid in full by card when you book.
How and when do I pay?
You pay online by card when you book, once you are happy with your fixed price. That is what reserves your installation date and lets us order your boiler. Nothing is taken before you decide, you get a receipt straight away, and there is nothing more to pay on the day.
